Imphal, January 11: An Assam Rifles recruitment rally would be held at 1 Assam Rifles, Chassad, Ukhrul district under the aegis of Headquarters B Range, Chassad from January 29, 2005 to February 4, 2005.The recruitment is open for male candidates hailing from Manipur between the age of 18 to 23 years.

The Assam Rifles battalions/companies located at Shanshak, Chassad, Somsai, Sorde, Gamnoum, Yai-ngangpokpi, Shakpao, Ukhrul, Tolloi, Awang Kusom and Kachai would be conducting pre-recruitment training for the candidates from January 12 onward, a PIB Defence Wing release informed and asked all those desirous of undergoing the training to contact these Assam Rifles battalions/companies for details.

Meanwhile, another PIB Defence Wing statement informed that 24 Assam Rifles would be conducting a pre-recruitment training camp at Chandel to meet the aspiration of the local youths for enrolment into the Assam Rifles during recruitment rally at Chandel from January 27 to February 1.
