Imphal, January 11: Imphal East District Police have arrested a KYKL activist during frisking at Lamlong Bazar at around 4.15 pm today.

The arrested activist is identified as Mutum Abung alias Naobi (19) s/o M Achou of Sanjenbam Khu-nou.

According to police source Abung joined the outfit in the month of June, 2004 through one Deven (self styled major of the outfit) of Nongada Awang Leikai and got training at Kailam in Churachandpur for three months under the command of Yaiphaba of Takhel Parking, and his army number issued by the outfit is 120 of 2004 batch.

Meanwhile, SP of Imphal East District Kh Chandramani Singh informed that an active sympathiser of RPF/PLA identified as Kshetrimayum Sopen (36) s/o Ksh Shamu of Singjamei Kshetri Leikai has been arrested after raiding his house on January 9.Sopen admitted that he gave shelter to RPF/PLA activists at his own house being a sympathiser of the said outfit, the police officer said, adding that Sopen is the associate editor of Orient Vision.
