Imphal, December 08: Highlighting necessity of setting up a State women commission, deputing a lady police officer at Moreh police station, opening of an exclusive women's cell and denouncing violence against women and children Moreh public today staged a rally under the joint aegis of Women Action for Development and Border Area Development Centre.

The rally was organised in connection with the International Fortnight Observance Protesting Violence Against Women in Manipur and was participated by members of various women organisation numbering around 500.The march with Sunrise Youth Club office premise as the starting point touched various areas and culminated at the same point.
