Imphal, September 05: The State level Teachers' Day Celebration Committee organised the Teachers' Day Celebration at GM Hall today with Education Minister Francis Ngajokpa and Commissioner of Education RK Angousana as the chief guest and president respectively.

Four teachers were awarded during the function.

The teachers honoured are, lecturer at Bishnupur Hr Sec School Kh Ibohanbi, teacher of Praja Hr Sec School K Tolendro, Head Master of Bengoon HS Md Sirajuddin and Head Master of Phoubakchao Primary School H Chandramani.

Teachers' convention : All Manipur Hill Out-posted Teachers' Association, AMHOTA in collaboration with Head Master Association Ukhrul organised a meeting at Lamlong High School, Khurai today.

The meeting has resolved to urge the authority concerned for releasing list of the teachers whose verifications have already been finished.

The meeting also demanded the state Govt to release the teachers salary at the earliest.
