Imphal, September 29: After taking over as the new GOC of 3 Corps, Lt General ZU Shah visited Manipur today to review the security situation, said PIB Defence Wing in a Statement.

This was his maiden visit to Manipur after taking over as the GOC of 3 Corps.

The GOC was briefed by the GOC 57 Mountain Division and IG Assam Rifles (South) in their respective base headquarters.

The Lt General also visited Churachandpur and Bishnupur districts and interacted with the troops deployed in the two districts, added the statement.
