Imphal, September 29:
Showing no let up in the demand for justice in the alleged rape and killing of Salam Punam, dharnas and torch rallies were held at different parts of the State today.
Held under the aegis of the JAC Against the Killing of Salam Punam, dharnas were held at Nongmaikhong, Arong, Arong Khunou and Tera demanding that the killer of Punam be produced and punished fittingly.
The dharnas were held from 10 am till 4 pm today with the active support and co-operation of the respective local clubs and meira paibis.
At Nongmaikhong about 70 people took part in the dharna while at Arong about 100 took participated.
At Arong Khunou about 60 people turned up while at Tera there were about 100 demonstrators.
