Obtaining and submission of forms for the Civil Services Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination to be conducted by Manipur Public Service Commission ended this evening.
Reports culled from different sources cited several candidates missing the deadline as banks remained closed in response to the nationwide general strike called by Left front affiliated employees� bodies today.
A bank draft of varying denominations drawn in the name of MPSC Secretary are supposed to be submitted by the candidates.
Meanwhile, referring to the closure of banking institutions resulting in candidates� failure to submit application forms in time, the Manipuri Students� Federation has issued a statement urging a deferment of the deadline.
Informed source mentioned of over 15,000 applications received by the MPSC for the total of 128 posts.
