ECI team discusses varied issues

Imphal, August 06: Issues pertaining to preparation of electoral rolls, electoral reforms, rationalization of polling stations, resumption of EPIC programmes, use of EVMs, security measures during polls etc were discussed in-depth during a meeting between representatives of the visiting Election Commission of India and various political parties at State Guest House today.

The ECI team consisting of Election Commissioner Navin B Chawla and Deputy EC R Balakrishnan in addition to the Guest House congregation also called on the DGP and State Chief Secretary later in the evening.

Matters relating to Delimitation Commission raised by representatives of the political parties also figured prominently during the meeting with the EC informed to have assured to place the subject to the Delimitation Commission.
