Imphal, March 19 2010:
After defeating West Bengal in the last quarter final league match today, Orissa entered into the semi finals of the ongoing 18th Senior National Women's Football Championship 2009-10 held at Khuman Lampak Main Stgadium, Imphal.
Orissa entered semi finals as winner of group B while West Bengal entered as runner.
Earlier, host Manipur and Tamil Nadu have also entered into the semis as winner and runner of group A respectively.
Manipur will fight West Bengal in the first semi final on March 22 next while Orissa will fight Tamil Nadu in the second semi final on Mar ch 23 next.
The final match will be played on March 25 .
In the first match today Haryana beat Assam 1-0 after playing a keenly contested match.
Both teas displayed a real tough fight against one another throughout the match.
The solitary goal of Haryana which was also the winning goal was scored by Deepa in the 12th minute of the match.
In the second match Orissa beat West Bengal 2-0 after playing a keenly contested match.
Both teams displayed a tough fight against one another.
The first goal of Orissa was scored in the 40+1st minute by Pinky Bompal Magar while Sangeeta Patra scored the second goal in the 62nd minute.
