A three month training programme of OBC candidates for 'mobile repairing & servicing' under skilled development programme being sponsored by Minorities & Other Backward Classes Department, Government of Manipur was launched on March 18 with scheme officer MOBC department Mark Jou and principal of Oinam Ibohal Polytechnic Nillababu Oinam as chief guest and president respectively at the auditorium of Oinam Ibohal Polytechnic Keishampat Junction Imphal.
Disclosing the aim of launching such programme the chief guest in his speech said, keeping in mind the heavy shortage of technicians for repairing mobiles in the State the department is taking initiative to give training to 100 persons.
He also expressed his hope that such initiative would supplement the demand and supply gap.
Highlighting the training programme.
Nillababu in his presidential address said the course will follow IGNOU-OIP Community College syllabus in order to maintain uniform quality and enhance employability of the trainees.
Asking the selected candidates to report to the polytechnic, the secretary of Managing Committee, Oinam Ibohal Polytechnic informed that free coaching class in skilled development will also start from April 1.
