Imphal, March 27 2010:
Several vehicles have been vandalised by suspected bandh supporters along NH 53 at two points today.
The Yurembam, Patsoi, Taobungkhok Land Protection Demand Committee imposed bandh on NH 53 against the State Government's move to acquire agricultural land for constructing a power sub-station of capacity 400 KV.
For reportedly defying the bandh, suspected bandh supporters vandalised two trucks and two vans at Moidangpok at about 4.30 am.
Three diesel auto-rickshaws, four Tata Magic vans, three Maruti cars, four Maruti vans and six two-wheelers were also damaged by bandh supporters in between 8.30 am and 6 pm today.
