Imphal, March 27 2010:
Three Kuki organizations have demanded to withdraw the monetary demand at the earliest made to Bus Owners' Association, Saikul, Senapati district allegedly by Kuki Revolution Army, (KRA-U) .
The three organizations (Kuki Innpi Saikul, Kuki Student Organisation (KSO-Saikul) and Kuki Women Union, Saikul) cautioned that failure to meet the demand would result in launching intense agitation.
Meanwhile, Thangkham Lupheng, president of Kuki Innpi, Saikul stated that the KRA-U had not served any extortion notice to the Bus Owners' Association, Saikul.
According to the Kuki organizations, the extortion notice served to the bus association was under the letterhead of the KRA-U signed by one Athokpam Inaoba Meitei of Dolaithabi.
