Myanmar authority has hinted of talk at the diplomatic level between New Delhi and Yangon to secure release of four Indian national of Manipur caught by the Army of the Myanmar government for allegedly crossing their territory without legal authority, a highly reliable source said Hueiyen Lanpao today.
Four individuals of Skipe village including a lecturer of Ukhrul district were caught by the Myanmar Army recently while they cross international border at border pillar no.61 in Ukhrul district.
As report received in the Hueiyen Lanpao, for securing release of four Indian national, authority of the Myanmar government at Tamu has hinted of bringing up the matter at the Myanmar embassy level at New Delhi.
If the embassy intervenes and instructed, then they may be released, the report said as hinted by the authority of Tamu district of Myanmar to state government authority at Moreh.
Presently, the four individuals, Ngalo Ningshen (40) son of Ngaresui Ningshen, Themson Chitung (35) son of late Sangai Chitung, Shangreiyo Keishing (18) son of Jeset Keishing and Shanuries Keishing (14) son of Rebinson Keishing, all from Skipe village are in the custody
of Myanmar authority.
Ngalo is the part time lecturer of the Patrigue College of Ukhrul district.
They were caught by the Myanmar Army on March 8 last when they cross international border on their way home after cutting tree in the forest.
Myanmar Army reportedly charged that they chopped trees within the Myanmar territory.
They were produced during a hearing held on March 24 last at Tamu.
On the other hand, families of the four individuals and members of association of part time lecturers of Patrigue College have insisted Lok Sabha MP, Thangso Baite and Raijya Sabha MP, Rishang Keishing.
