Of the five PREPAK suspects killed in an encounter with troops of 12 Assam Rifles at Taretlok near Indo-Myanmar border under Kasom Khullen police station in Ukhrul district, the identity of one has been established.
He was Thokchom Sanjoy (26) s/o Imoreh of Kongba Makha Nandeibam Leikai Chongabi.
He left home in March last year.
Family members said that they received reports about Sanjoy joining PREPAK.
A pocket-book recovered from his possession had the names and addresses of Dinesh Singh, Sarat-Wangoi, Sunil, Tomba-Tentha, Sanjoy, Surbal-Lamlai and Kishan-Kakching.
Another bit of paper had the mobile number 918014220228 written on it.
The four others cannot be identified as yet.
But by the looks of the clothes worn by them, all the deceased appeared to be labourers.
Assam Rifles have claimed that two AK rifles, three pistols and one Chinese hand grenade were recovered from the five slain individuals.
Police brought the five corpses to RIMS mortuary today.
