Imphal, February 19, 2010:
United Kuki Liberation Army-Military Council (UKLA-MC) has clarified that the burning down of passenger Tata Sumo plying between Moreh and Imphal on the night of February 11 at Majorkhul was reluctantly' carried out by the outfit.
A press statement issued by its Information and Publicity secretary Jameson Kuki said that the outfit resorted to such action as their cordial request for annual tax' served to the Sumo association was neglected and association's president Ranbir verbally challenged the outfit.
Clarifying that UKLA-MC is an organisation which has proper set of goals, political objectives and other necessary requirements and killing and terrorising innocent people are not in their intention, Jameson Kuki asserted that the outfit may not however hesitate in inflicting casualty (to the extent of physical elimination) if anybody challenges them.
Jameson Kuki added, it would be a big mistake if anybody thinks that UKLA can be neglected while SoO singnitaory groups must be given due respect'.
Saying that burning down of the Tata Sumo was a warning to all who disrespect the outfit, Jameson Kuki asked the association to clear the pending issue as soon as possible before its is too late and more actions are let loose.
