Imphal, November 17 2008:
Additional forces led by police officers rushed to Sajiwa Jail today evening following reports of a 'revolt' by inmates .
According to a source, trouble started when a prisoner was being shifted to Imphal Central jail but his mates objected to it.
Details however could not be obtained as reporters who rushed there were not allowed to proceed towards the jail.
SSP of Imphal West L Kailun and commandos of Imphal East and West rushed to the jail to control the situation.
Efforts to contact jail officials to get details proved futile.
