Four UGs nabbed

Four UG activists of different groups were nabbed by the security force and police commandos in separate counter insurgency operations in the last three days.
Imphal East police commando nabbed a KCP(MC) activist identified as Chongtham Roni Singh (40) son of late Ch Chandra of Mayai Koibi on February 15, at about 1.30 pm from Checkon Crossing, Imphal East SP said.
A KYKL activist identified as Ninthoujam James (23) son of late N Joy of Tera Sapam Leirak was arrested by a team of Imphal West Police Commandos from Tera Bazar yesterday, around 11.30 am, a statement of the Senior Imphal West SP said.
Troops of 28 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) has apprehended on UNLF cadre yesterday around 7 pm from Khurai Soibam Leikai area.
The cade identified as Keithellakpam Dhanabir (38) son of K Mohori of Khurai Soibam Leikai has been handed over to Porompat Police Station.
In another incident, troops of 23 Assam Rifles apprehended one KCP (MTF) cadre on yesterday at around 7 pm from YKPI market area.
He was identified as Y Tomcha (30) son of Birchandra of Thamnapokpi and has been handed over to Lamlai Police Station, a statement of the IGAR (S) said.
