Four UG activists held

Imphal, February 17 2011:
Security forces claimed to have arrested four activists of different armed groups in the past few days.
Troops of 28 Assam Rifles of 9 sector launched operation in Soibam Leikai area on February 16 during which one UNLF activist namely Keithellakpam Dhanabir (38) s/o K Mohari of Khurai Soibam Leikai was apprehended at around 6.55 pm, said a PRO IGAR (S) release adding that the arrested person has been handed over to Porompat police station.
Meanwhile, one KCP (MTF) activist namely Y tomcha Singh (30) s/o Birchandra of Thamnapokpi has been reportedly arrested by troops of 23 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector from Yainganpokpi market at around 7 pm of February 16 .
The individual has been handed over to Lamlai police station, added the release.
on the otherhand, a release issued by SP (IE) Th Radheshyam informed of arrest of one KCP (MC) activist by Imphal east district police commandos from Checkon Crossing at around 1.30 pm of February 15 .
The arrested person has been identified as Chongtham Roni Singh (40) s/o Ch Chandra Singh of Mayai Koibi Chabungbam Leikai.
Roni disclosed to have joined the outfit in October 2010 through one Yaima of Takhel.
According to a statement issued by SSP (IW) L Kailun, district police commandos arrested a KYKL activist namely Ningthoujam James Singh (23) s/o (L) N Joy Singh of Tera Sapam Leikai from the same locality at around 11.30 am of February 16 .
James reportedly disclosed of joining KYKL in December 2010 through one Roshan Singh.
