The Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State branch with the support of International Committee of the Red Cross, New Delhi conducted a six days State Disaster Response Team (SDRT) training course from February 12 which was attended by 19 Red Cross volunteer trainees from Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal and Churachandpur district branches.
During the training course theory, case studies, group work and simulation exercises were covered, said an IRCS Manipur State Branch release adding that facilitators from MIMS (Manipur University), Disaster and Relief Department (Govt of Manipur), Civil Defence, 14th Bn NCC, IRCS general secretary Dr M Lala Singh, Dr Y Meghachandra Singh, O Ratan Singh, samarjit Khomdram, N Amulkumar Singh and A Devajit Singh conducted the training course.
