Imphal, June 16:
Conveying deep concern over the recent spate of violence at Moreh, the Thadou Students' Association (TSA), Sadar Hills has appealed to all for reconciliation and peaceful co-existence.
A press release issued by the student body reminded that the Thadou-Kuki community and the Meiteis have been living together in amity since ages even if some of the younger generations are oblivious to this historical fact.
While sharing the pain and grief being endured by the bereaved families of the June 9 victims, the TSA prayed that the departed souls may rest in peace .
It further cautioned the people against inimical elements, individuals and groups trying to score political mileage from the unfortunate crisis.
The indigenous people of the State cannot be separated and should remain bound together by the spirit of love, oneness and sacrifice for the sake of unity and development of Manipur, noted TSA.
