Govt colleges for exam centres an option

Exam centres for Higher Secondary Examination 2011 to be conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) may be given at Government colleges.
Speaking to The Sangai Express, the COHSEM Chairman informed that the matter of conducting Higher Secondary Examination was discussed at the level of the Chief Minister yesterday with reference to the ongoing agitation of COTA.
It was decided to allot exam centres at Government colleges and also to take service of college teachers as invigilators in case the Government and the agitating teachers could not strike an agreement in the next couple of days.
Incidentally, the Higher Secondary Examination is scheduled to commence from March 16.In accordance to the decision taken at the level of the Chief Minister, due permission has been obtained to use Government colleges as exam centres.
The COHSEM Chairman went on to claim there would be no problem in conducting the exam according to schedule.
