The All Manipur Muslims (Meitei Pangal) Welfare Association (AMPWA) has expressed extreme grief at the untimely demise of eminent academician and social activist Prof.Riyajuddin Chowdhury.
The late Professor was not only a pioneer of the library movement of the state but was also actively involved in the establishment of ISKCON, Manipur.
He also served as Professor of History in DM College and GP Women's College, and as working president of the Manipur Peace Committee, according to a press release by AMPWA secretary general, MD Akhtar Hussain.
