DSA, Churachandpur recorded its fifth successive win defeating DSA, Kakching 3-1 in the 17th Junior Inter-District Football Tournament at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium today.
The win puts CCpur DSA on top of group B and along with Kakching qualified for the semi final round where the former would clash against group A topper Imphal West on October 22 at ESU ground at 12.45 pm.
DSA, Kakching will take on IE in the other semis the same day at 2.15 pm.
In today's other match, DSA, Chandel registered its maiden win in the competition after downing winless DSA, Tamenglong 2-1.TS Surash (20th) and SK Shonengthar (45th) scored for the winners with Egra pulling back one for the Tamenglong side.
Earlier, S Lianmuansang ruffled the Kakching net twice for Ccpur's 3-1 win with goals in the 17th and 19th minutes of the game while Kimminthang put the match beyond doubt slamming home the third team goal two minutes from the hour mark.
Y Subhashchandra scored DSA, Kakching's consolation goal in the 40th minute.

MCA football tourney: Keirak team defeated Kakching 2-1 in today's final of a football tournament organised by 33 Assam Rifles at Kakching under the Military Civic Action programme since October 17.Teams from Kakching, Waikhong, Pangaltabi, Sugnu and Keirak competed in the said tournament, said an Assam Rifles statement adding spectators were enthralled by the lively display of footballing skills.

In the NISA versus UPSA match, N Roma (11th) and N Binodini (76th) scored for the latter while E Bidyarani netted both the former's goals.
The MPSC goals against NYTHC came through H Thoi (5th-P), N Geetarani (17th, 78th) and Th Tababi (56th).THAU football: TSA, Thangmeiband downed HYC, Haokip Veng by a solitary goal in today's match of the 23rd State level mini boys football tournament being played at THAU sports complex.
The second match in the mini division between HGMYSU, Hatta Golapati and NYC, Kanglatongbi ended in a goalless draw.
