Imphal, October 19: The 3- day long SHG Mela organised by National Cooperative Union of India-Co-operative Education Field Project, Bishnupur at its project premises at Nambol concluded today.

The closing function was graced by Kh Borekeshor Singh, chairman Management Committee ICM Imphal, K Modhumangol Singh, editor ISTV and SC Borah, principal ICM Imphal as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

The main attraction of the mela was the sale of indigenous fish like ngaton, pengba etc with people thronging the stalls well before the mela open.

Other handicrafts, handloom and home made items also adorn the stalls.

The first prize was awarded to Meitram Nungshibi Women SHG, Mekola with Pureiromba SHG, Lilong Chajing securing 2nd spot while Kodompokpi Mayai Leikai Women SHG bagged 3rd spot.
