Imphal, October 19: Democratic Students Alliance Of Manipur (DESAM ) as a part of its campaign for quality education had undertaken inspection of schools today at Irilbung Girls� LP School, Irilbung Boys� LP School and Kalika LP School.

At Irilbung Girls� LP School, out of eighty students only twenty students were found attending classes and at Irilbung Boys� LP School only seventeen students were present out of forty-seven registered.

In all the three schools kitchen facilities were non-existent, informed the president of DESAM Kongba Local Council while appealing to the authority concerned to rectify the grievances.

AISF inspects school: The All India Students� Federation (Heingang Zonal Council ) adding momentum to the ongoing campaign for quality education, inspected Awang Potsangbam H/S today.

In addition to various irregularities and mis-management such as late arrival and early departure by teachers, the school building is so dilapidated that a mild earthquake or a strong wind will raze it to ground, informed the secy of the Council adding that the authority can�t remain indifferent to such mismanagements.

Meeting convened: Democratic Students� Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has convened a meeting of the regular and casual candidates under the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur enrolled at Asem Arunkumar Institute of Science & Techonology, Kyamgei which had been banned by the students� body.

The meeting would be held at 11 am of Oct 20 at its H/O, Keishampat.
