Imphal, October 19:
Reacting to the confessional statement made by the KCP (Emoinu) cadre Y Amu alias Rajen while in the custody of the UNLF on October 18, the Thoubal district commander of the KCP, Nunglang Meitei has today clarified that he has nothing to do with the Emoinu faction of KCP.
In a statement, Nunglang Meitei said that he and Md Islamuddin have not been associated with any faction of the KCP and added that he has been working as the Thoubal district commander of the outfit under home secretary Lamphel Luwangcha.
This can be confirmed from Lamphel Luwangcha himself, asserted Nunglang Meitei.
The Thoubal district commander of the KCP who also has an alias in the name of Loya Meitei further said that he and Md Islamuddin have never used any arms which were not issued by the outfit's leadership and added that they had no connection with Y Amu alias Rajen.
Nunglang Meitei said that he is not in a position to appoint Amu as the district commander of Thoubal and added that he (Nunglang) was appointed to the post of Thoubal district commander by the seniors and leaders of KCP.
Amu took his name (Nunglang) to save himself and to tarnish the image of the revolutionary organisations.
The statement further said that Nunglang in his capacity at as the Thoubal district commander appreciated the efforts taken up by the UNLF to weed out pseudo revolutionary organisations and appealed to them to work together with other like minded parties in the endeavour to root out all fake organisations.
