Pensioners urge for incentives

Imphal, October 19: Contending that pension to retired primary school teachers, head pandits and head masters/mistresses had been paid for the last many months All Manipur Retired LP/Primary/JB Head pandit/Headmaster Association appealed to the Government to remove all procedural hurdle so as to ensure the retired teachers enjoy their retirement incentives at the earliest.

Ever since the fraudulent withdrawal of retirement benefits for the head pandits came to light the Government had instructed respective treasury offices to cease pensions for pensioners since April 2005, mentioned an Association release while alleging that certain section of retired teachers who draws pensions from banks do not come under the restriction.
