Adhoc employees highlight woes

Imphal, October 19: In pursuance of its demand to conduct a special DPC instead of the Govt proposal for open DPC through the MPSC/Employment Exchange adhoc employees under the banner of All Manipur Adhoc Employees' Assn today staged sit-in-protest cum meeting at near Keishampat power house today.

An Assn release contending that submission of memorandum to State authorities had failed to evoke any response informed of today's meeting deciding to stage various forms of protest for a week from 10 am till 4 pm.

The Govt would be urged to solve the adhoc employees' issue by submitting a memorandum tomorrow and in case of negative reciprocation the Assn would be compelled to adopt stringent measures including relay/indefinite hunger strike, asserted the Assn.
