Lamka, February 06:
The 12-hour bandh called by four student bodies of the district today hampered normal life in the district, but fare peacefully without any unpleasant incident.
All shops and business establishments, except those exempted from the bandh purview were closed.
Volunteers were stationed at Rengkai, Tuibuang and New Lamka who allegedly burnt tyres and punctured the few vehicles and bicycles that defy their called.
Passenger buses however reportedly entered till Kangvai village, the district boundary.
