Entertainment progs banned ahead of exams

Imphal, February 06: Different student bodies of the State keeping in view of the forthcoming Board and Council exams have imposed partial and total ban on all entertainment programmes.

In separate press statements, Yairipok branch of MSF, Imphal West District Council of DESAM and Kongba branch and Bishnupur District Committee of AMSU have imposed ban on all entertainment programmes including Thabal Chongba , staging of Shumang Leelas and Dramas in their respective areas of jurisdiction.

The statements of the student bodies also warned of severe consequences in the case of defiance of the ban.

The students appealed to the officials of Electricity Department to supply electricity regularly in the interest of the students.

They further expressed their wish that the people of the State particularly local clubs would extend their support in the enforcement of the ban.
