Imphal, September 16: Ahead of the scheduled field visit on Sep 21, Highway Development Council (HDC) has convened a public meeting on Sep 19 at 11.30 at MDU Hall to discuss on necessary arrangement for success of the programme.

HDC was formed with the objective of encouraging civil organisations, intellectuals, transporters, meira paibis, etc participate in development of National Highway 53 during a meeting jointly organised by Hericoun, UPF and IPSA recently.

The field visit would also serve as a goodwill mission to win confidence, support and cooperation of village chiefs and people living along NH-53 for development of Imphal-Jiribam route.

After the field visit, a detailed report on the required infrastructure would be submitted to the concerned authorities for doing the needful.
