Imphal, September 16: Alleging State security force personnel of unleashing reign of terror during the 48 hour general strike imposed by AMMSO, Manipur Muslim Organisations Coordinating Committee demanded probe and fix responsibility.

A Committee statement claiming State force of barring Muslims from performing daily prayer session at Mosque, thrashing innocent persons under the pretext of crack-down on strike supporters and not sparring even females also drew attention of Manipur Human rights Commission and State Minority Commission.

The body further stated that it would put up the matter to the Union Home Ministry for appropriate action against police personnel involved in beating up innocent persons belonging to the minority Muslim community.
