Imphal, March 23: Police bomb experts safely detonated an explosive device recovered from the toilet of Manipur Tribal Development Corporation Limited's Executive Engineer Keshorjit today.

The bomb was set off by the experts in the waste dumping site located at Lamphel at around 4.30 pm today.

According to officer-in-charge of Lamphel police station K Dhananjoy police personnel inspected the EE's office room following reports that the office had remained shut since march 9.as one of the police personnel climbed into the room through the window suspicious item resembling a hand grenade could be seen, said the police officer and added that the front door had to be forced open for a closure look.
