Imphal, March 23: Expressing serious concern over the heavy exchange of fire between security forces and an UG group at around 11 pm of March 21at Moirang Khunou Bazar, several Meira Paibi groups of Moirang Khunou area have appealed to all concerned not to repeat such incidents in future.

A joint statement issued by the Meira Paibi groups observed that consequent upon the exchange of fire, a strong sense of reprisal and unrest was created to many innocent civilians particularly students who are appearing in their most critical Board and Council exams.

Such unrest during exam time poses a serious threat to the life long career of a student and presents a strong probability of misleading these youths of tender age in the wrong path, noted the statement.
