Imphal, March 23: Two activists of the proscribed KRA have been apprehended by the Imphal East District police during a cordon and search operation at New Checkon crossing yesterday, informed a press release issued by the SP of Imphal East, L Kailun.The apprehended cadres have been identified as Yangkhopao Haokip (40) of Pholmul village, Ukhrul and Oinam Udhoy alias Casper (25) of Salungpham Mayai Leikai, disclosed the release while adding that some incriminating documents have been recovered from their possession.

Further two more activist of the outfit identified as Somang Touthang alias Sony (35) of Bilei village, Saikul and Thanglal Touthang (36) of P Giljang near Sagolmang were apprehended today at around 10:10 am by a team of Imphal East commandos led commando OC M Mubi from Chassad avenue.

A statement issued by Imphal East SP L Kailun mentioned that Sony is a town commander of KRA and added that four demand letters of KRA along with three live rounds of AK rifles were recovered from them.
