Imphal, March 23: The 10th Foundation Day of International Manipuri Mothers' Association (IMMA) was observed today at the hall of MDU, the main feature of which was a mothers' convention.

The observation was graced by the titular king Sanajaoba and president of IM-MA, Khumanleima as chief guest and functional president respectively.

Moreover, president of UCM, K Langamba, NIPCO's Y Nabachandra, UPF's Y Devdutta, HERICOUN's R Chothe, AMSU's S Prakash, MSF's S Sanjoy, DESAM's PC Newton, social worker Habida Begum, president of Kuki Mothers' Assn Rose Mangshi Haokip, Kabui Mothers' Assn Kokumlunglu Kamei and president of All Manipur Women's Social Reformation and Development Samaj K Taruni attended function as guests of honour.

In today's 10th Foundation Day, Padmasree Dr M Kirti, L Mangisana of International Human Rights Assn, India, Ch Priyoranjan, L Indira and Kh Anandi presented papers on several topics related to women issues.

Further, eight persons were honoured with titles for their dedication to different fields.

Ch Chandrabadi of Sibsagar, Assam was honoured with the title of Best Social Worker, AK Manglembi for Best Mother, Thammoi Singh for Best Artist, Sanahanbi for Best Daughter, Irom Sharmila for Best Activist while Rose Mangshi , Kakomlunglu and Habida Begum were conferred the title of Best Dedication.
