Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC-I), president Gaikhangam has reminded Congress workers that the role of Seva Dal is to ensure that information about government initiated development programmes reaches the public in every nook and cranny.
MPCC(I) president Gaikhanganga while speaking as president at the inaugural function of the 7-Day State Level Block Organisation Taining Camp organized by Manipur Pradesh Congress Seva Dal at MPCC office on BT Road here today reminded that the role of the Congress Seva Dal is vital.
He said the Seva Dal has to work harder to inform the common people of the developmental programmes being taken up and of developmental programmes that are most likely to be taken up in the near future for the welfare of people by the government both at the Centre and in the State.

The opening ceremony of the 7 day State Level Block Organisation Training Camp which is being held as part of the celebration of 125th year of the congress party in India was participated by MPCC members, and Manipur Pradesh Congress Seva Dal workers.
The function was opened by the hoisting of the tri colour flag of India by MPCC (I) president MLA Gaikhangam.
It was attended by MLA T Mangibabu, MLA K Meghachandra, vice president Dr Chatolien Amo, vice president Abdul Salam, General Secretary Bidhyapati Senjam and General Secretary Victor Keishing as presidium members.
MPCC (I) president Gaikhangam exhorted the Seva Dal workers to fully understand the developmental programmes being taken up by the congress governments both at the centre and in the state and he called upon the Seva Dal workers to take the information to the public.
He also mentioned that incidents of misunderstanding between the congress led government and the public arose when there was a lack of communication between the governments and the public on the developmental activities being taken up by the congress government.
To avoid misunderstandings, he declared that the 7 day State Level Block Organisation Training Camp was a very important platform for the Seva Dal workers to fully understand the congress led government's initiatives both at the centre and in the state for the welfare of the people.
He asked the Seva Dal to rely on the public.
