Manipur Peoples Party has today launched a 3 day social service programme at Imphal concentrated mainly in the main market area in connection with the Patriotic Day celebration on August 13.The social service campaign was launched by the MPP president Dr Nimaichand Luwang.
In the Social service campaign began with around 150 volunteers taking part 50 voluntters were MPP Youth Front volunteers.
The 3 day social service campaign was joined by personnel from government departments.
The volunteers who participated in the social service campaign were from thepolice department, I M C, Medical Dept.
PHED, Fire Services and the PWD.
The social service campaign was also given a helping hand by different civil society organizations namely Workers' Union, KEDO, KIMACS, along with women vendors.
Speaking to reporters, MPP president Dr Nimaichand Luwang said that social service campaign was conducted in connection with the Patriotic Day so as to maintain cleanliness and a hygienic environment in the city and to encourage developing a strong work culture in Manipur.
