Imphal, November 30: Even as the identities of the three persons gunned down yesterday at Tentha Tuwaban Chinga have been established another body was recovered from Yaralpat area this morning while a woman succumbed to injuries after being knocked down by a motorbike.

The woman victim identified as Yumlembam Ongbi Basanti (33) of Tendongyang Bamon Leikai was admitted to Shija hospital yesterday after suffering severe injuries in a motor accident at near her own locality.

However, she failed to respond to medical treatment and passed away this morning.

The accident occurred when a CBZ motorbike rider rammed at her at around 6 pm.

While the body has been handed over to family members on completion of post mortem at RIMS mortuary the motorist has reportedly been taken into custody by police.

The body recovered this morning from Yaralpat area is informed to found among abandoned hay in a paddy field located under Porompat PS.

The victim man expected to be around 40 years of age is attired in a maroon and white strip shirt with a blue coloured jacket.

The trouser is of light blue colour.

The corpse found with blood stain on the mouth is being kept at RIMS Morgue for identification and necessary medical procedure.

On the other hand, out of three persons shot dead yesterday at Tentha area, which is located about 15 kilometres south west of Thoubal police station, two are informed to be brothers.

The victim brothers are identified as Sapam yaiskul (23) and S Premjit alias Seti (21) - and the father said to be one Manglemba of Lairenkabi Mamang Leikai.

The third victim has been identified as Nongmaithem Bijoy (24) s/o Madhumangol of Lairenkabi Maning Leikai.

S Premjit, informed to be former KCP activist, was arrested by AR and said to have been released from jail hardly a month back.

According to sources, the brothers were picked up by unidentified persons on Nov 27 morning while they were engaged in agricultural activities at Sanjenbam.

Meanwhile, N Bijoy is informed to a be local club activist (secretary) as well as a drama artiste.
