The Revolutionary People's Front and its armed wing the PLA have paid revolutionary salutes to its four cadres who were killed in a shoot out with the security personnel on March 11 at Khoibu Khullen village in Chandel.
The four, L/Cpl H Orel alias Lakpa of Wangoo Panjao Makhong, L/Cpl Soram Bijoykumar alias Pakhangba of Kyamgei Mamang Leikai, Pte Thocham Hemchandra alias Bikram of Baskandi Kakmara Leikai, Assam and Pte Ksh Surendra alias Thouna of Lakhinagar faced the enemy bravely who sneaked up on them while they were discharging their duties, said RPF in a statement.
Though Hemchandra and Surendra were from Assam they gave up their lives for the sovereignty of Manipur, said the outfit and added that the sacrifices of the four cadres will remain etched in history.
The outfit also accused the security force of wilfully killing a woman, Moikham Shinglai of Lailam Khullen was taking refuge under the bed with her two year old child when the fighting broke out.
Her child was also seriously injured in the shooting by the security personnel.
