Imphal, November 28:
Expressing apprehension over the construction of Keishamthong Bridge, the Kabui Samiti, Manipur has urged the authority concerned to spell out the details of the bridge like its perimeter and affected areas.
A statement released by the Samiti warned that the matter may flare up to become a momentous issue if the authority does not maintain transparency.
Any policy pertaining to construction of public property should have its due transparency and accountability in addition to consent of all concerned.
It also urged the State Govt to clarify on the allegations made by Keishamthong Kabui Women's Society and Keishamthong Kabui Youths' Union that the demarcation for the bridge has been unfair.
