Imphal, November 28:
Calling Th Muivah a traitor and a murderer, the FGN has called upon the Nagas to fight against the Th Muivah gang and his destructive policy.
In a statement issued by the Kilonser of FGN, L Palang Khiamniungan, it alleged that Th Muivah and his gang is behind most of the internecine killings including burning down of Khiamniungan houses and granaries to ashes, looting of domestic fowls and animals et al.
The gang had hacked to death more than 600 innocent persons and forced to starve in several cases. The same inhuman treatment was meted out to Lainong people in 1984-85 in which more than 500 innocent civilians were murdered.
Not only that the Naga Kuki feud of 1992 was orchestrated by the gang in which hundreds lost their precious lives and thousands displaced and rendered homeless, alleged the statement.
Moreover, the so called Muivah gang guided by their nefarious designs instigated Tikhir Nagas against the Khiamniungan people in 1996 while Chang people were set against the Konyak after which the feud has been going on still unabated, it stated.
The statement expressed disgust over the luxury and comfort enjoyed by the rebel leader at the cost of bloods, tears and sweats of thousands of Nagas and other innocent civilians.
It further questioned the achievement of its long period of bloody struggle and the logic behind the economic blockade now being enforced against the Khiamniungan people.
While they are engaged in the mean politics of engaging one Naga tribe against another, the Khiamniungan people have no belligerent attitude or policy towards Tangkhul people or any other Naga community, it stated.
The statement further remarked that Muivah and his people joined Naga National service only after 1964 claiming themselves as Nagas.
Since 1980 Th Muivah had murdered more than 3000 innocent Nagas along with a good number of Naga leaders, it added.
Muivah's volte face for 'federal relationship' rather than absolute sovereignty is a clear case of betrayal to the thousands of martyrs and an insult to all the Nagas.Any solution brought about by Th Muivah based on his 'federal relationship' is doomed to fail as Nagas would not compromise on the question of Naga sovereignty, the statement added.
