Imphal, December 16 2009:
Manipur People's Party has complained the Election Commission of India (ECI) regarding violation of code of conduct by Indian National Congress (INC) in the election campaign of Yaiskul by-election.
The complaint lodged by its general secretary L Ashok Kumar informed the ECI that INC has randomly erected its flags at different public places such as on the median of NH-39 and Govt electric poles.
The general secretary said that such things were not permitted to other parties in past elections but INC takes full advantage of being in power in this by-election.
