A memorial stone was erected here at Sangrungpang village to remember the beloved two persons who was burnt alive and killed by suspected Kuki Militants inside the passenger bus in Lahore region in Assam state last year.
Apart from the locality the troops of 11 Assam Rifles under 57 Mountain Brigadier also paid homage to the two departed persons, yesterday.
The two persons identified as Lt Robert Goimei 37 son of G Dinthui a rifleman of India Army Service Core and his mother in-law Lt Ginthailiu 55 years of Sangrungpang village under Tamenglong police station some 21 kilometres from Tamenglong district HQs.
Lt Robert Goimei and his mother in-law Lt Ginthailiu were burnt alive inside passenger bus to save the others passengers by suspected Kuki Militants in Lahore region in Assam State.
The rifleman left behind his wife along with two children one male and one female.
The people participated here strongly condemn the barbaric act of the militants.
To honours the expired rifleman the troop of 11 Assam Rifle of Akhui Out Post present the wreath and show a drills during the paying homage.
The memorial stone was erected by bereaved families of Sangrungpang village.
