Imphal, December 16 2009:
The Manipur People Party (MPP) today lodged a complaint with the Chief Election Commission of India alleging that Congress has violated Code of Conduct in the election campaign of bye-election of Yaiskul Assembly Constituency to be held on December 19 .
L Ashok Kumar, general secretary of the party wrote the CEC, New Delhi that party falg of Indian National Congress has been randomly erected at different public places such as on the median of NH-39 and government electric poles taking full advantage that their party is being in power.
In the complaint note, he further wrote that in the earlier cases, law enforcing agencies removed flags of political parties in such circumstances but this time they are not performing their duty in removing the flags of Congress.
