Imphal, August 22:
Over 170 persons, including women and children, thronged a free medical camp organised by 19 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector AR under HQs IGAR (S) at Thawai Tangkhul village yesterday, said a PRO IGAR (S) release.
Besides a lecture session on HIV/AIDS the village headman and secretary were urged to disseminate information regarding Japanese Encephalitis to the villagers during Sunday Church services.
Thanking the AR authorities for such humane service , the villagers further urged the AR to organise more such camps so as to extend treatment facilities to the aged and needy persons who cannot afford journey fare for treatment at Imphal, added the release.
