With the recovery of another bomb in the heart of Imphal town today after two explosive devices were detected at two different places in Imphal yesterday, additional security forces have been deployed in the capital town.
Taking serious note of the discovery of bombs in Imphal town in the last two days, additional commandos units have been deployed in the town, informed a senior police officer of the Imphal West District Police.

An IED with a mobile phone attached to it was found inside a thermoflask on the bank of Kangla moat just opposite to the guest house of High Court Judges this morning.
The thermoflask containing IED was first observed by some players who were practising canoeing and kayaking on Kangla moat at about 6.30 am today.
Coincidentally, troops of 28 AR came to the area on patrol duty as the sports persons found the thermoflask.
After confirming that the thermoflask contained an IED, explosive experts of Manipur Police arrived at the spot and set off the bomb safely in situ at about 11.20 am.
The spot where the IED was found today was only a short distance from the spot where another IED placed in a pressure cooker was found at the gate of Indira Park yesterday.
A similar explosive de vice was also discovered last night inside the VIP colony of Babupara which is guarded rounded the clock by security forces.
Both the IEDs discovered yesterday were set off safely at a vacant area in Mantripukhri.
On the other hand, people were caught in a panicky and anxious situation this evening after detecting a 'bomb-like-object' on the road leading to Thangal Bazar near Adarsh Clinical Laboratory The frightened people were relieved only after explosive experts ascertained the object as a plastic jerry-can.
As the road from MG Avenue crossing to Khoyathong junction was blocked at both the instances of discovery of bomb at Kangla moat and the bomb-look-alike near Adarsh Clinical Laboratory, vehicular traffic in Imphal town was thrown into chaos.
