Six candidates have submitted nomination files for the coming Lok Sabha election in inner Manipur so far with three more candidates filing their nominations today.
The last date for the submission of the nominations is April 4 .
The three candidates who have submitted their nominations today to the Returning Officer of the inner Manipur, A Ibocha, who is also the Deputy Commissioner of Imphal West, were Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Wahengbam Nipamacha, Indian National Congress (INC) candidate Dr T Meinya, and Rastriya Bahujan Congress Party (RBCP) candidate Loitongbam Khetrani.
The issue of protection of Manipur Territorial integrity will be given priority in the run upto the 15th Lok Sabha election, former Chief Minister and BJP candidate for inner Manipur, W Nipamacha told reporters after submitting his nomination today.
Nipamacha was accompanied by the BJP Manipur State unit President, H Borbabu, former CM,RK Dorendro, and former Speaker of State Legislative Assembly, Dr S Dhananjoy, among others.
"To translate the issues included in the Congress manifesto into action would be my main concern," sitting MP and INC candidate, Dr T Meinya said.
Accompanying the INC candidate, Chief Minsiter O Ibobi while turning towards the media persons posed how much MLAs did the MPP and the CPI have.
He said the Congress candidate will win the poll with a margin of over 1 lakhs this time.
The Congress candidate was escorted by Chief Minsiter O Ibobi, MPCC President Gaikhangam, MLA of Singjamei I Hemochandra, et al today while submitting his nomination.
The RBCP candidate, L Khetrani has come along with various women workers of the party to submit her paper.
Three other candidates � Independent candidate A Rehman, CPI candidate Dr M Nara and N Homendro �had already submitted their nominations.
Scrutiny will be held on April 6 while the last date for the withdrawal of nomination is April 8.The inner Manipur constituency will go to poll on April 22 .
