CPI today challenged other rival candidates in the fray in the Inner Manipur Parliamentary constituency while launching widespread election campaign for the party nominee, Dr M Nara in Imphal west and Bishnupur district.
Speaking at one of the election rally meetings at Wangoo Ahalup under Kumbi Assembly constituency today, Nara himself also expressed that any of his rivals is not worthy of being a representative of the state at the national level.
CPI election rallies were held at various places of the two districts like at Kwaketihel Konjeng Leikai in Imphal west, Oinam, Mairenbam Leikai, Wangoo, Chairen, Wangjing and Wangoo Ahalup in Bishnupur district today.
Parliamentary elections are not taken important by the people of the state but in reality, the election is the most important one, Nara said speaking to the gatherings.
Due to sorry political state of the state, people are kept in no way, he said expressing the urgent need of rectifying the political view of the state and the most important mandate to bring a change to the mind of the people is the Parliamentary election.
It is natural to criticized among the candidates and political parties during the elections, Nara said while reacting to his rival candidate Choaba's address to his election rally as he (Nara) hails from outer parliamentary constituency while urging the voters not to cast their votes to him.
Choaba had said it by ignorant as there is another proposal of slicing some constituencies of the Bishnupur district and make it part of the Outer constituency for inclusion of the seven A/Cs of Thoubal to the Inner constituency.
Nara said, Choaba talks too much as he is ignorant.
His ignorant had been proof by the fact that he had wrongly give a statement silk threat is to be prepare by cutting mulberry plants into pieces and boil it with water when he agriculture minister.
He reiterated that to save Manipur at any cost is the foremost and the only one voice of the Communist Party of India.
