Yamthong Haokip lamented that around 100 villages of Saikul sub-division were affected while demarcating police jurisdiction.
If this is not corrected immediately, all these villages would fall within valley districts.
Saying that the Government would agree to bring back these villages within the police jurisdiction of their respective districts, Yamthong underscored the importance of unity among the villagers.
Dance and musical items presented by different cultural troupes of Saikul block made the celebration lively and colourful.
But the main attraction of the event was Chavang Lanu (Miss Kut Beauty Pageant) held in the evening.
The beauty pageant was graced by ADC Sadar Hills Chairman Haokholal Hangsing as chief guest, SDO/BDO Saikul Th Manihar as guest of honour and Kuki Inpi Saikul president Thangkam Lupheng as functional president.
